Scouser Jamie Webster has left their mark again with new single ‘Looking Good’ which sounds like it’s been a hit for years already.

With a sunny brass opening, Webster begins the track with enticing lyrics and a melody that has both a warmth of familiarity and an element of welcome difference, with surprising melodic ascents and lyrical rhythms decorating the track. Dancing between acoustic sections and full-band brassy hits, the single is Paolo Nutini meets Madness meets Blossoms (but it works).

The beauty of Looking Good is that it transports you to happier times, surrounded by your mates, singing your hearts out, and that’s exactly what it feels like this song has been created for. With a catchy chorus and simple verses, it’s easy to imagine belting out Webster’s new track, even after a few drinks. 

Short but perfectly formed, Looking Good is full of Northern musicality at its best. Making you long for the festival season, Webster’s latest track will force you to smile…even the sax solo is good.
