British pop singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Florrie is back with their new single ‘The Lost Ones’. This single is also the title track of their long-awaited debut studio album, which will be released on June 14th this year via BMG and Xenomania Records.

Florrie has been open about their struggles as an artist since their first EP was released in 2010, saying “I have been waiting to make my debut album for the last 12 years”, and this anthem pop track signals the beginning of sharing their story and personal experiences. When discussing the new release on social media, Florrie reflected ‘I wrote The Lost Ones when I was coming out of a pretty dark place, but slowly finding my feet again and feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time. It’s a song for anyone who feels lost, or forgotten, or unsure of their path, reminding you that there are always better days ahead.’

Beginning immediately with the hook of the song, Florrie captures your attention with the chanting, singalong lyrics, and we are swept along by the infectious groove of the instrumentation. Florrie’s vocals glide over the melodic guitars and synths, with the production building and expanding to an explosive chorus. The single is full of comforting honesty and encouragement, being a voice for listeners that are also on a journey of learning, making mistakes, and being hopeful of the future, stating; “To find our remedy, we find beauty in our dreams”.

‘The Lost Ones’ is catchy and energetic, with a nostalgic undertone; elevated further through the accompanying music video which features clips of Florrie’s younger self performing, demonstrating to never give up. We can’t wait for Florrie to take over the pop music space this year, and to hear the full 12 tracks of the debut album in June. Additionally, Florrie will be supporting G Flip in the US leg of their tour starting in May, as well as supporting Girls Aloud at their London 02 gigs in the summer!
