NEW SINGLE RELEASE
About Bunny - Glue

By Jake Goodland

Newest release from up-and-coming guitar shredders About Bunny, ‘Glue’ develops the Londonians catalogue of punchy punk guitar riffs and fast flowing drum breakdowns. Almost three minutes of non-stop sweeped guitar strings and kick stomping makes for a track that will surely get a show bouncing.

After the success of last years ‘Mixtape Vol.1’ EP, the band are on course to establish themselves well within the British alternative rock scene, having already headlined shows of their own on top of packing out the tents at Y Not Festival.

Following their latest success, ‘Glue’ easily displays the potential from the four-piece, with vocalist Jemma McKenzie-Brown’s natural vocal tone perfectly complimenting Karl Hopkins’ abrasive guitar chords - fitting together like the title suggests. The track features aggressive and in-your-face lyrical content throughout like “got my fist in your mouth are you ready to die” in the pre chorus, which is definitely going to have fans screaming and jumping in tandem.

Although the lyrics are fiery, the band incorporates a killer breakdown halfway through the single, where the guitars glide down the fretboard accompanied by a kick, really building the atmosphere up in time for the chorus to explode back in. Perfectly structured with background vocals on the hooks and the elongated addition to the chorus at the end, the track is unpredictable and engaging.

‘Glue’ is a short and snappy track to progress on from the previous EP release, giving us the sense that About Bunny are telling their listeners ‘WE ARE HERE’.
